So we have been here for almost 3 1/2 weeks, and things are coming along nicely. I really do enjoy living in Portland. I am surrounded by greenery and flowers and vast changes in weather. I wake up every morning with a smile, a blessing upon my heart soaring straight to the Heavens.
Let's get real, I still have those days that challenge me as soon as I get up and doesn't cease until I lay my head down to rest. For example, yesterday the kids and I walked to the park for a little play time and then proceeded to Wild Oats to get Chocolate chips to make muffins for William (wheat free of course), I also bought him a chocolate chip cookie for later. Now I was parched so we stopped by Starbucks for a little Iced Chai Late, William wanted a chocolate milk, I did not want him to have one, mind you what I just bought at the store. Just so you know Briana did not get anything at the store or at Starbucks and she continued to mind her peas and q's. Back to William, he proceeded to throw the biggest fit I have witnessed thus far. Talking back, yelling, and crying, oh I wanted to spank his little hinny but there beside us were the local fire fighters getting their coffee, I didn't want to make a scene worse then what was occurring, so I walk William and Briana around the corner out of the way and punished William with a nice little pat on the bottom (sarcasm here) and who comes around the corner but the gang of Portland Fire Fighters right behind me. I was so embarrassed! I proceeded the walk home with William crying still over the freakin Chocolate Milk. When we got home I had a very nice talk with him explaining that his behavior was unacceptable (my children do not act like that) and that he had better not act like that again, he came back with a simple "ok". So as you can see I do have my challanges, who am I kiddin, of course I do.
Anyway, this weekend we will be attending a graduation party for Chris' cousin Emory, should be fun and we will get to see a lot of the Auel Family.
Here are some pics of Farmers Market, the kids playing on the back porch, the garden and other stuff. Have fun and God Bless.
